How to Use Quick Record Feature
Using Quick Record in Comprehend PT
Quick Record is designed for busy clinic days when you're moving between patients and need to capture notes on the go. Instead of stopping to document after each interaction, you can record as you go and switch between patients seamlessly.

Step 1: Open the App and Start a New Session
- Open Comprehend PT when your first patient arrives
- Start a new session as you normally would
- Locate the Quick Record button before your patients arrive so you're not hunting for it mid-session
Step 2: Open Quick Record
- Click the Quick Record button to open your recording hub
- From here you can record for multiple patients without needing to navigate away or open separate sessions
Step 3: Select Your Patient and Start Recording
- Select the correct patient from the list before you start talking
- Confirm the right patient is selected — Quick Record keeps each patient's notes separate, so selecting the wrong patient means their notes end up in the wrong place
- Hit Record and start speaking naturally, for example:
- What you're observing
- What you're treating
- Any exercises or interventions you're prescribing
- Example: "Chris, right shoulder, wall slide exercise, 2 sets of 10 reps
Step 4: Switch to Another Patient
- Stop the recording when you're ready to move on
- Select the next patient from the list
- Hit Record and continue speaking through their session
- No need to save or finalize anything before switching, for example: "Brian, left shoulder, manual therapy, glenohumeral joint mobilizations"
Step 5: Return to a Previous Patient
- Select the patient from the list again
- Hit Record to pick up where you left off
- Quick Record will add to their existing notes rather than starting over
Step 6: Review Each Patient's Transcript
- Once your session is done, click into each patient's profile
- Review the transcript to make sure everything was captured accurately
- Add any additional context before finalizing your notes
Things to Keep in Mind
Always confirm you have the right patient selected before hitting Record
Be mindful of your surroundings when speaking patient information out loud, especially in open clinic spaces
