- Hello Note
The Comprehend extension connects directly to the page you're viewing in your EMR so we can directly fill out your note for you! We scan all the sections in your EMR template and display the ones we can fill out within the extension.
- The extension scans the page to identify the visit type (e.g., initial eval, daily note) and the sections our platform can input the note.
- These sections are then displayed in the extension for you to see. Note all sections pulled in, are all the sections we are able to fill out!

Think of the Comprehend extension as your personal medical scribe! When open, it scans the page you're working on to see what it can fill out for you. Follow these simple steps, accompanied by pictures for clarity:
Step-by-Step Guide to Getting Started:

1. Open the Patient Chart
- Start by opening your patient chart as you normally would, like you're preparing to fill it out yourself.
2. Open the Comprehend Extension
- Click the puzzle icon at the top-right corner of your browser to access your extensions.
-Select the Comprehend extension to open it.
3. Create a New Visit Recording
- Click the ‘+ New Visit’ button in the top-right corner of the extension.
- This will create a brand-new visit that you can start recording into🎉

How Note Types Work in Comprehend:
For example, if your visit is named "Evaluation - Medicare", Comprehend will connect it to a template called "Evaluation - Medicare".
If you also have a visit named "Evaluation General", Comprehend will create a separate template for that one as well.
In short — Comprehend uses your visit names to organize and match the correct template automatically.
4. Record Your Visit Details
Choose how to provide visit information:
- Record the entire visit live (up to 120 min of recording time)
- Record yourself summarizing what happened during the visit (perfect if the visit already happened)
- Or do both!
- Click the “Record” button to start recording.
5. Finish Recording and click Stop
- 🛑 When you're done, click ‘Stop’.
Sometimes, details like your assessment of the patient or measurements may not be said out loud during the visit. If that happens, be sure to record yourself mentioning them separately so they’re captured in the note.
All you have to do is Resume the recording and add more information to the visit.
6. Comprehend Transcribes the Recording
- The AI will take a 3-10 seconds to transcribe your recording
- Once it says ‘Transcription Complete’ you’re good to generate your note 🎉
Filling Out the Note in Your EMR
1. After your visit is recorded, click the Comprehend button.
- This button generates a note for all sections we can fill out, using the information from the visit to create the note.

2.If your note has multiple pages, open each page or section you want to fill out, then click ‘Comprehend’ on that page before moving to the next.
- Continue to click and Comprehend each section until all sections are filled out.
3. You’re done! 🥳
- Look over the generated note in your EMR before submitting!
