# How to Skip a Section So the AI Doesn’t Fill It In

# Customize What Sections Comprehend Fills Out in Your Notes

### Choose which sections you want Comprehend to complete or modify—skip any sections you prefer to fill out yourself.

## Step-by-step Instructions:

### 1. Open your note in the EMR.
### 2. Open the Comprehend extension.
### 3. Click the '**+ New Visit'** button.
### 4. Scroll within the extension to find the section in your EMR that you want to skip.
### 5. Toggle to the left to Skip!
### 8. That’s it! The AI will now skip that section every time, and the setting will stay unless you change it 🎉

## Other Response Options:
| Response Option | Outcome |
| ---- |
| Overwrite (default) | Erase anything that was previously in that field and add Comprehend PT’s generated note |
| Skip | Do not change anything in that field. |
| Add-on | Comprehend keeps the existing note in the field and adds the generated note below it. |
